Diabetic Recipes
and Heart Healthy Menu Items

Diabetic Exchange Calculations and/or Carbohydrate Counting:

Over 7% of the United States population has diabetes and several million others have the disease but do not know it.

If you plan on creating or modifying a recipe so that it can be diabetic friendly, I strongly urge you to utilize Recipe Analysis and its associates. There are many factors to consider when planning a diabetic meal, and consulting with someone that is untrained in that area, can result in elevated blood sugars after the meal, which can affect a person’s health negatively if consumed on a regular basis.

Diabetic food exchanges and carbohydrate lists are crucial to provide for people living with diabetes.  Our company has dietitians and certified diabetes educators specially trained in the dietary treatment of diabetes.  It is important to partner with a company that has this expertise, if you are planning a diabetic menu or will be featuring diabetic friendly menu options at your facility / restaurant.  Your company can be responsible if a health or nutrient claim is misleading or untrue.  Hire a company that has the experience and credentials to ensure you are serving and selling food that meets the claims you want to make.

Diabetic exchange calculation  $50.00 per recipe or food item.
(Carbohydrate gram information is included in every recipe analysis for free).

Heart Healthy Menu Items

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in America. Providing at least a few low fat, low cholesterol, and/or low sodium dishes is a smart way to show customers you care about their dietary restrictions.  Healthier entrees can be the highlight of any menu.  Creative ideas will be offered to help improve the nutritional content, while making your customers come back wanting for more.

Heart healthy menu items can be developed or current menu items can be modified to meet the American Heart Association guidelines.  FDA regulations state that if a health or nutrition claim is made on your label or menu, you must have the nutrition analysis available at your place of business or on the food packaging.

On a menu, "Heart Healthy", "Low Fat", "Low Cholesterol", "Zero Trans Fat", "No Sugar Added", "High Fiber", or any claim that is made that promotes increased health benefits, must have proper documentation.
