Owner, Sherri Pinero earned her degree in nutrition and food service management from the University of Georgia. She then completed her dietetic internship through Cal Poly, Pomona in California.
Sherri has an extensive clinical nutrition background, treating patients with a variety of medical conditions including, diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, kidney and liver disease, high-risk pregnancy, sleep apnea, osteoporosis, obesity, gastro-intestinal disorders, immune deficiency diseases, and food allergies.
The food service industry is well known to her. In addition to being a registered dietitian, she has extensive experience in sales and marketing. These skills allowed her to successfully assist in implementing a state wide community based Healthy Dining program, which helped restaurants improve their sales by improving the taste, texture, and nutrition of select menu items. Community events featuring many of the participating restaurants were part of the benefits owners and chefs realized.
She has co-authored books, written columns for monthly newsletters and newspapers, and asked to speak at several locations, including churches, schools, businesses, athletic clubs, tasting events, and educational forums.
Founded in 2000, Recipe Analysis has worked with several restaurant owners and chefs, to help develop and modify menu items for both adult and children's menus; create Nutrition Facts Labels for food products and publications; analyze recipes for restaurants and food service organizations; and consult on various health and diet related issues involving menus with nutrition and health claims.
Recently, Sherri developed health and nutrition claims, and analyzed over 250 fruits and vegetables for a nationwide grocery store marketing campaign. Numerous restaurants and independent food companies have worked with Sherri to complete small and large-scale projects.
Sherri is the nutrition consultant and menu developer for Cool Fuel. Florida based, Cool Fuel prepares and delivers healthy school lunches filled with fresh and tasty ingredients that kids love - without all of the sugars, salt, and fat of cafeteria food.
